My First Day at School

Last Monday was my first day at school. I felt nervous, but also excited. My mother walked me to the classroom.

My teacher's name is Miss Lan. She is kind and friendly. She said, "Good morning, class! Welcome to Grade 1."

I sat next to a boy named Nam. We opened our new books and learned the alphabet. At lunchtime, Nam and I ate rice together and became friends.

After school, I told my mother, "I like school. I want to go back tomorrow!"
