The Lazy Cat and the Busy Bird

In a big garden, there is a lazy cat and a busy bird.

The cat's name is Fluffy. Fluffy sleeps all day under a tree. She doesn't work. She only eats and sleeps.

The bird's name is Tweet. Tweet is very busy. Every day, she flies around the garden and looks for small sticks and leaves. She is building a nest at the top of the tree.

"Why do you work so hard?" asks Fluffy. "The sun is warm. Come and sleep with me!"

"Winter is coming," says Tweet. "I need a warm home for my babies."

Fluffy laughs and closes her eyes again.

Soon the weather is cold and rainy. Fluffy is wet and cold under the tree. She looks up. Tweet and her three baby birds are warm and dry in their nest.

Fluffy feels sad. "Tweet is right," she thinks. "Hard work is important."

The next day, Fluffy finds a dry box and makes a soft bed with old clothes. Now she is ready for winter too.
