Learning to Ride a Bike

My name is Duc. I am eight years old. Last month, I learned how to ride a bike. It was not easy, but it was a lot of fun.

On the first day, my father held the back of my bike and ran next to me. I felt scared because I did not want to fall down. My father said, "Don't worry, just look ahead and pedal slowly."

I practiced every evening in the small park near our house. Sometimes I fell off my bike, but my father always helped me stand up again. He never got angry with me.

One evening, something amazing happened. My father let go of the bike, and I did not fall! I rode all by myself for the first time. I was so proud of myself. I shouted, "Look, Dad, I can do it!"

Now I can ride my bike very well. Every weekend, my father and I ride our bikes together in the park. It is one of my favorite things to do with him.
