It was a stormy evening in July. I was doing my homework when I heard a small noise outside the gate. At first, I thought it was the wind. But the noise didn't stop.
I took an umbrella and went outside. Under a bush, there was a tiny puppy. He was shaking, and his fur was wet and dirty. He was crying softly.
I carried him inside and dried him with an old towel. My mom warmed some milk, and the puppy drank it very quickly. He was thinner than a normal puppy and very hungry.
"Can we keep him?" I asked my parents. My dad looked at the puppy for a long time. "We should look for his owner first," he said. "Someone might be looking for him."
The next day, we put up posters with the puppy's photo on the trees in our street. We also asked our neighbors, but nobody knew anything about him. We waited for a week, but no one called.
Finally, my dad smiled and said, "Okay. He can stay with us. But you must take care of him."
I named him Mưa because I found him on a rainy night. I fed him twice a day and took him for walks every evening. Soon he was bigger, healthier, and much more playful.
Now Mưa follows me everywhere. When I come home from school, he is always waiting for me at the gate. He was a small gift from the rain.
