A Weekend at Grandma's House

Last weekend, Lan and her brother went to visit their grandmother in the countryside. She lived in a small, quiet village near a river.

When they arrived, Grandma smiled and gave them a big hug. Her garden was full of colorful flowers and vegetables.

In the morning, Lan helped Grandma cook breakfast. They made rice porridge with eggs. It was more delicious than the food in the city!

After breakfast, Lan and her brother played near the river. The water was cold, but the sun was warm. They caught small fish and then put them back into the water.

In the evening, the whole family sat together and listened to Grandma's stories about when she was young. Her stories were funny and interesting, so everyone laughed a lot.

On Sunday, it was time to go home. Lan felt sad, but she was happy too. She made a promise to visit again soon. It was a wonderful weekend, and Lan didn't want to forget it.
