A Big Adventure for Toby the Puppy

Toby is a small brown puppy. He lives in a big white house with a beautiful garden. Today is Saturday. Toby is very excited because he wants to find a new friend.

First, Toby runs to the tall fence. He sees a gray squirrel. The squirrel is climbing a tree.

"Hello! My name is Toby. Can you play with me?" Toby asks.

The squirrel stops and looks down. "I am sorry, Toby. I am collecting nuts for the winter. I am very busy today!"

Toby walks out of the garden. He goes to the park. The grass is green and the flowers are red. He sees a big white duck near a lake. The duck is swimming slowly.

"Hi! Do you want to play?" Toby barks.

The duck shakes its head. "No, thank you. I am teaching my babies how to swim. Look! They are following me." Toby sees five little yellow ducks. They are very cute.

Toby feels a little bit lonely. He sits on a bench. He is watching the people in the park. Some people are drinking coffee. Some children are running.

Suddenly, a small boy comes to the bench. His name is Tim. He is carrying a blue backpack. Tim is wearing a red hat.

"Hello, puppy! You look lonely. Do you want this bone?" Tim asks. He gives Toby a big bone. Toby is very happy. He wags his tail.

Now, Tim and Toby are playing with a yellow ball. They are running on the grass. The sun is setting, but Toby is not sad anymore. He has a new best friend!
