A Fun Day at the Zoo

Mai loves animals very much. Every Sunday, she goes to the zoo with her mom and dad. The zoo is big and full of animals. Mai always wears her favorite yellow hat.

First, the family visits the lions. The lion is big and strong. It has a loud roar. Mai feels a little scared, but she is also excited. She watches the lion walk slowly around its cage.

Next, they see the elephants. The elephants are gray and very tall. They have long trunks. One elephant drinks water with its trunk and sprays it into the air. Mai laughs and claps her hands.

Then, the family walks to the monkey house. The monkeys are small and fast. They jump from tree to tree. One monkey eats a banana. Another monkey plays with its friend. Mai tries to copy their funny faces.

After that, Mai sees the giraffes. The giraffes have long necks. They eat green leaves from the tall trees. Mai's dad takes a photo of her next to the giraffes.

At noon, the family sits under a big tree. They eat sandwiches and drink orange juice. Mai talks about her favorite animal, the elephant, and why she likes it so much.

Last Sunday, Mai saw a baby elephant for the first time. It was small and very cute. Mai was so happy that day. She still remembers its little trunk and big ears.

In the afternoon, the family visits the gift shop. Mai chooses a small toy elephant to take home. In the evening, the family goes home. Mai is tired, but she is very happy. She loves her Sunday trips to the zoo.
