What Is Bánh Mì?

Bánh mì is a popular street food in Vietnam. It is a type of sandwich. People eat it for breakfast, lunch, or a quick snack.

A bánh mì has a crispy baguette. Inside, there is pork, pâté, and fresh vegetables. Common vegetables are cucumber, carrot, and coriander. Some bánh mì also have chili and mayonnaise.

You can find bánh mì everywhere in Vietnam. Small stalls sell it on the street. Big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have many bánh mì shops. Each region makes bánh mì a little differently.

Bánh mì is cheap and delicious. A sandwich only costs a small amount of money. Many tourists love bánh mì when they visit Vietnam.

Last week, I bought a bánh mì near my school. It was hot and crunchy. I ate it in five minutes! Bánh mì is one of my favorite foods.
