A Happy Day with Tom

Tom is a young man. He lives in a small house in a big city. Tom works in an office from Monday to Friday. He is often tired after work. But today is Saturday. Tom does not go to work. He is very happy.

The weather is beautiful today. The sun is hot, and the sky is blue. Tom wants to go out. He takes his red bag, a good book, and a green apple. He walks to a big park near his house.

The park is very nice. There are many green trees and beautiful flowers. Tom sees many people. Children play with a small dog. A man and a woman sit on a bench. They drink hot coffee and talk. An old man walks slowly with his cat.

Tom finds a big tree. He sits under the tree because it is cool. He eats his sweet apple. The apple is very good. Then, he reads his book. The story in the book is interesting.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, Tom closes his book. He feels hungry. He stands up and walks to a small shop near the park. He buys a bottle of water and a warm bread.

Yesterday, Tom stayed at home because it rained. He watched television and cleaned his room. It was boring. Today is different. Today is a great day.

Tom walks back to his house at six o'clock. He listens to music on his phone. He smiles because he loves his life.

Thì Quá khứ đơn (Past Simple)

Dùng để kể về những sự kiện đã kết thúc trong quá khứ (trong bài là ngày hôm qua - Yesterday).
